State of Arizona Supports

Over the past 14 years, Doc Jones and the International Jazz Day AZ Foundation have received support from four Arizona Governors and ten current and former Mayors. Together, we helped pass HCR 2017, a resolution unanimously approved by the Arizona House and Senate, officially recognizing April as Jazz Appreciation Month and April 30 as International Jazz Day in our state.
Along the way, we’ve partnered with world-class musicians such as Donald Harrison, Engonito, Jazz Funk & Soul, Carlos Rivas, Nayo Jones, and many more.
Now, as we prepare to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of International Jazz Day in Arizona, we are asking for your support to make history—by making Arizona the first state in the nation to celebrate International Jazz Day at the statewide level.
